Back in 2001, my then company bought me the "Adobe Web Collection" (this was prior to the whole "Creative Suite" thing). Really? Now, I didn't know that, although I have used (or perhaps I should say, "tried to use") GoLive before. The closest you will get is if you were to use Dreamweaver and the GoLive migration kit. GoLive uses a lot of propriety bits, its whole way of orgainizing stuff including the csobj stuff won't translate well to any other web editor. Microsoft Press "Expression Web 2 Step by Step" That will allow you to take advantage of some Expression Web specific things like DWT files, Etc. You may want to click Site/ Site Settings and enable "metadata". In the open site dialog browse to the folder that houses the contents of your go live site and open it.įrom this point you can edit pages, FTP publish, etc. Open Expression Web 2, Click File Open Site (make sure, because it's way different than file/ open). You will not have to really do anything if you don't want to: My question is: If I installed Expression Web 2, would I have to redo the entire site or would Expression pick up what is there and allow me to continue adding and editing as at present? Thanks. My Web site can best be described as an overloaded smorgasbord of hobby, interests and affiliations. I'm new to the forum and am looking for an alternative to Adobe GoLive for my Web editing program.
